WHY THE ALLY NETWORK?

Full of post election energy, many people are asking how to get involved. Existing organizations are already working hard in our communities. The Ally Network connects the power of volunteers with local actions and events. Networking strengthens all of our efforts.

The Network is a resource available to everyone. Our platforms will be regularly updated. Check out the Calendar for local Kentuckiana events, find things you can do under Action Items, review our Resources page to build your personal toolkit of knowledge and attend our forums as able.

CAN I ACCESS THE NETWORK IF I DON'T JOIN?
WHY JOIN?

As an individual, you will connect to our platform, receive newsletters with timely calls to action and member organization updates by simply providing your email address and zip code.

As an organization, you will have access to people who are looking to make meaningful contributions. Your message, events, talking points, agenda and action items are amplified across all member organizations' allies. Attend our monthly forums to network and inform.

The WE is all of us in Kentuckiana who are ready to mobilize and take local action to counter hate, fight legislative assaults on progressive causes, and respond to local and national events.

There are a few working on the website, a social media presence, a newsletter and monthly forums linking allies and existing organizations. Email info@theallynetwork.org if you would like to contribute to this work.

WHO ARE WE?
  • We recruit allies.  Our current goal is 25,000 local members.

  • We recruit organizations to share their events, mission, needs, action items and existing educational resources to theallynetwork.org platforms for amplification. See about us for a current list of partner organizations.

  • We serve as a clearinghouse for information.

  • We send newsletters by email and urgent alerts via text.

  • We maintain a public community calendar in Google format.

  • We maintain a social media presence focused exclusively on action and events.

  • We curate resources like reading lists, social media links, podcasts etc.

  • We hold a monthly forum the second Wednesday of each month from 7p-8:30 where local organizations and allies network and provide updates.  Location: DBCC Commons Room, 2005 Douglass Blvd, Louisville, KY 40205

WHAT DO WE DO?
WHAT DON'T WE DO?
  • We don't share ally information.

  • We don't endorse the member organizations or their work.

  • We don't have infrastructure beyond what is needed to maintain The Ally Network platform for amplification of existing organizations' efforts.

You can connect The Ally Network Kentuckiana calendar to your Google account.
